Dr. Akash Marathakam after completing his M.Pharm in Pharmaceutical Chemistry from Dr.M.G.R Medical University, Tamil Nadu , started working at the National College of Pharmacy. He was awarded a doctoral degree by the Department of Pharmacy, Annamalai University in 2015. His research interests include Phytochemistry, Drug Design, Chemistry of Synthetic Drugs, etc, in which he has his supervision and assistance for postgraduate students. Akash Marathakam has several publications to his credit. moreover, he has conducted and attended several seminars, conferences, and workshops, including a few continuing education programs funded by A.I.C.T.E., etc. He is a member of the International Society for Evolution, Medicine & Public Health, American Chemical Society, and also a life member of APTI, an organization for academics in India who teach in the area of pharmacy. Currently is heading the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has several cited research papers to his credit. He is a KUHS approved research guide for Ph.D He is also a member of Pharm.D Committee, Pharmacy Council of India.
